New voyage- OC Pepel successfully sets sail from Seattle

At 06:00 AM, 25th, August, A report was received from the captain at the other side of the Pacific Ocean.  30,000T Self unloading bulk cargo ship-OC Pepel(former name CSL THEMES ) has left from port of Seattle to port of pepel, Sierra Leone, this ship will provide iron mine ship to ship services to Tonkolili projects owned by Shandong iron & Steel Group, cooperating with the charter Blovast Holding Ltd.

 

OC Pepel is one important property of Ocean Challenger, the ship, with total length 175m,molded breadth 26m, molded depth 14.5m , boost rate 8000kw, and rated speed 14.7 knots, load capacity 30,000 mts, and self-unloading capability  can reach 3000mts(2500m3)/h. Oc Pepel was delivered as CIMC Raffles shipyard on 2010. Equipped with  two-shipper ,twin- oar and bow thruster, Oc Pepel can sail all across the world .  After its delivery, this ship serves at Europe, North American, Canada for 6 years with excellent performance and was highly recognized by the customers.  

 

On 18th, August, 2016, the owner OC signed re-delivery protocol with former- charter CSL and took over the ship, worked with its manger MCL , we finish jobs including rename, annual survey, repair, open the communication and insurance etc., thus made good preparation for the sailing. After setting sail, the ship will have its voyage over 9000 nautical miles, pass Panama canal, and will arrive at pepel, Sierra Leone, later Sept to provide the STS service.

In April 20, 2015, Shandong iron and Steel Group's acquired  75% stake of Sierra Leone’s Tangkelili iron ore from  African Minerals Limited . So far, Shandong iron and Steel Group obtained  100% shares of Tangkelili iron ore and African port railway service company.
